Pirates, Pirates, Pirates Everywhere

So Santa decided that Franky needed some treasure for Christmas. So on the tree there was a treasure map. The map had authentic burn marks and blood. It described where the treasure was hidden and the story of Cpt. Moses Rockwood - a pirate that retired to Grafton to live the life of a farmer.





Well ... when the kids showed up for Christmas we took them outside. Good thing that Uncle Jeff is a former scout master because he did a great job directing the kids to the location of the treasure inside the old stone fireplace.

When they looked inside they nearly flipped out ..... throwing all the treasure into the snow like they were rich.


What is incredible is the behavior the kids displayed over the next hour or so ... they totally transformed into little pirates. They were stealing treasure from each other, forming alliances, guarding their treasure ( see picture below of Franky guarding his treasure), asking uncles to watch this. Essentially all you needed to do was introduce a treasure into the equation and treachery emerged within minutes.
